The Lord of the Rings
JRR Tolkien

This is the man himself, JRR Tolkien, this man wrote dozens of books but not just the Lord of the
Rings. He wrote loads of different ones but they were all set in middle earth though, some of the books were all about the elves and their long war against the dark lord morgoth and the dwarves fighting over and over again against the orcs to take Moria. There are books full of different legends of middle earth or even middle earth's history as well as loads of tother stories from middle earth.
The Hobbit

If you loved the lord of the rings then this is the next book to read if you have'nt done so, or if you have'nt read the lord of the rings. This book is all about Bilbo Baggins who is Frodo's uncle. He gets caught up with Gandalf (The wizard)and a group of dwarves who think he is a master thief. Bilbo reluctently agrees but only if he had known the many deadly perils he would face later on as the book goes on.

The Silmarillion is basically a history of middle earth and was suppost to be a sequal to the hobbit but instead Tolkien decided to print the lord of the rings. It's split into different sections and each one is about the different ages of middle earth. From the wars of the elves to the birth of the orcs, this book has it all.
